Adam Baltieri’s practice wants to evoke in everyday life the spaciousness of being. While embodying humanistic values, his work may be insightfully approached by reversing the imperceptive formula “humans have freedom.” In other words, his creative work is witness to freedom’s having humans and concerns the Mystery.
Adam studied philosophy and has a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a master's degree from Freie Universität, Berlin. His occasionally harrowing engagement with Martin Heidegger had to do with the relationship between truth and freedom, and discovering philosophy anew in original experience. Who can answer 'why?' absolutely and where are we going?
Among other things, Adam practices 'yoga' and is simultaneously confused and enlightened by select wisdom from traditions historically associated with the Indian Subcontinent, the Himalayas and East Asia. He is a proponent of combining Western therapeutic psychology and Eastern awareness practice to facilitate the gracious unfolding of personal life and the integration of something more than personal.
